Polyurethane Additives
- Product
- Triethylenediamine (TEDA)
Overview
Triethylenediamine (TEDA) is a white to light yellow crystalline solid with a bicyclic, cage-like structure. It is one of the most important gelling catalysts for polyurethane and is often used dissolved in glycols, for example as A33.
Also known as
TEDA; DABCO; 1,4-Diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane
CAS number
280-57-9

Applications
- Gelling catalyst for flexible, rigid and semi-rigid polyurethane foams
- Catalyst for polyurethane elastomers, coatings and adhesives
- Raw material for liquid catalysts (33% TEDA in DPG, EG or BDO)
- Catalyst for epoxy curing and organic synthesis
Packaging
