How to use polyurethane catalyst TMR-2?

The usage and application of polyurethane catalyst TMR-2 are as follows:

一、Basic usage:

  1. Addition to the reaction system
    TMR-2, as a tertiary amine catalyst, can be directly added to the polyurethane reaction system, usually in solid or liquid form. Its chemical structure (2-hydroxy-N,N,N-trimethyl-1-propylamine formate) can promote the cross-linking reaction of isocyanate and polyol, shorten the curing time and improve the material performance.
  2. Reaction condition control
    Temperature: suitable for catalysis at lower temperatures to avoid excessive cross-linking caused by high temperatures;
    Initiator selection: Compared with potassium catalysts, TMR-2 can more evenly control the initiation reaction rate.

二、Main application areas:

  1. 3D printed soles
    By accelerating the generation of polyurethane foam, the hardness, elasticity and durability of the soles are improved, while optimizing the compression deformation control.
  2. Charging pile seals
    Achieve UL 50E waterproof certification to ensure the reliability of the seals in humid environments.
  3. 5G antenna cover
    Reduce the dielectric loss factor, improve high-frequency dielectric properties and mechanical strength, and enhance chemical corrosion resistance.
  4. Rigid foam polyurethane
    As a trimerization catalyst in rigid foam additives, it provides a more uniform initiation reaction and fluidity, which is better than Dabco's similar products.

三、Precautions:

  • Ratio optimization: The amount of TMR-2 added needs to be adjusted according to the specific application to avoid affecting the final material performance;
  • Compatibility: Applicable to a variety of polyurethane systems, including rigid foam, soft foam and elastomers.
