- Product
- Propylene Glycol (PG)
Overview
Propylene glycol (1,2-propanediol) is a colorless, almost odorless, slightly viscous and hygroscopic liquid that mixes completely with water and most organic solvents. Its low volatility and good solvency make it one of the most widely used glycols in industry.

Applications
- Raw material for unsaturated polyester resins and polyether polyols
- Antifreeze, de-icing fluids and heat-transfer fluids
- Humectant, solvent and coupling agent in coatings, inks and cleaning products
- Moisture-retaining agent and plasticizer in other industrial formulations
